Electronic grade DMC is a critical low-viscosity co-solvent in LiPF₆-based lithium-ion battery electrolytes (EC/DMC/EMC system). Its wide electrochemical stability window, low viscosity (0.59 mPa·s at 25 °C), and excellent Li⁺ solvation properties make it indispensable for EV battery cells and energy storage systems.
