G1 NMP (metals ≤100 ppb) is acceptable for standard-grade LFP cells used in ESS and e-bike applications with cycle life requirements below 500 cycles. For automotive LFP cells requiring >2,000 cycles, G4 NMP (Fe ≤0.2 ppb) is recommended.

A

Typical PVDF concentration is 6–12% w/w in NMP, dissolved at 60–80°C for 4–8 hours with high-shear mixing. Target slurry viscosity 3,000–8,000 mPa·s for blade coating on aluminum current collector foil.
